Exquisite Meissen Tea Service with oriental style decoration. 5 pieces set, Very rare This delightful antique Meissen tea service was produced between 1815 and 1860. Underglaze cross awards on the bottom of each piece. Intricate polychrome decoration on the white glazed porcelain bodies. Rendered in the Meissen artistic painting tradition are floral bouquets bursting with orange poppies, purple irises, green foliage and other botanical motifs. Dimension: - teapot: 5 inches High, 5 inches in the diagram of the body, 8 inches wide from the spout to the handle. - cup: 2 inches High, 3 1/8 inches wide - saucer: 5 inches diameter - open sugar bowl: 3 inches in diameter, 1 3/4 inches high In excellent antique condition, with no cracks, chips, discoloration, or crazing. Light wear is consistent with age.
