Sam McGowan grew up in rural West Tennessee, where his life revolved around the cotton fields on his parents' farm. Some of his earliest memories are of the cotton patch. This is his story of growing up in the cotton patch.
Air Force veteran and author Sam McGowan is a native of rural West Tennessee. After "growing up in the cotton patch," he served 12 years in the US Air Force. After obtaining his commercial pilot's license, he left the military and became a professional pilot. He now spends his time writing. He has authored more books and magazine articles than he can remember. He now resides near Houston, Texas with his wife Ronda, a budding artist, and their dogs Rex and Calli.
