Barbara Blue, Purple and Khaki, Style 24511:  this is a very beautiful bra, the embroidery is rich and almost tropical in its colouring, the bra is supportive giving a pert shape under clothing, the staps are comfortable, the whole bra feels soft to the touch.   

THE CUPS:

This underwired, sheer French full coverage bra has two sectioned cups with a horizontal covered seam.  This bra has the cups covered with blue mesh, embroidered with deep purple embroidered lotus flowers and leaves and scattered over and amongst them are the outlines of smaller flowers and tendrils embroidered in a soft antique gold or a khaki colour. The embroidery has normal stitching but there are a few flowers with open-work embroidery. The top section of the cups is completely sheer with the pattern of the petals leaving a pretty shape against the top of the bust.  This top section is sewn over the bottom section and there is a sheer blue mesh inside for additional strength.  The embroidery continues over the underwires which are picked out with blue stitching.  There is no under band to this bra.  Inside the top section there is a narrow band of flat blue fabric, this helps to keep the embroidered mesh close to the breasts and it also stops the embroidered flowers from curling.

THE BODY OF THE BRA:

The section in between the cups is in fine blue microfibre on the outside, lined inside with blue mesh for added strength and topped with a fine satin khaki ribbon bow.   A blue embroidered "BARBARA" logo is sewn under the left hand underwire and this floats over the blue microfibre which covers the wings and back.   The wings back and under-arm section of the cups are all edged inside with blue flat elastic with a wavy trim which shows outside the folded in fabric, and has a satin finish.  The two are secured to each other with large blue zig-zag stitching.  The back fastens with three double rows of blue metal hooks and eyes on blue fabric.

THE STRAPS:

The staps are in a wide blue elastic with vertical patterns running up its length and twisted khaki threads are threaded through the blue elastic to leave a repeat pattern of loops at either side.  This elastic also has a satin sheen to enliven it.   The front is sewn inside the top of the cups and at the back the straps are looped through a blue ring, sewn inside the top of the back of the bra, these back straps adjust upwards from the ring with a blue metal butterfly slider.

The exact material of the bra is made of 70%Polyamide 29%Polyester 1%Elasthane.   It is a mysterious bra, sheer yet warm, sexy to touch and yet a full coverage bra.  The retail price was £41.00.   New and unused.  This may be machine or hand washed at 40 degrees, no ironing, no bleach, line dry.   I have matching high leg, high rise thongs which are listed separately.
