Barbara Blue, Purple and Khaki, Style 24631:  this is a very beautiful high rise, high leg thong, the embroidery is rich and almost tropical in its colouring, its width fits snugly into the waist, it is sheer but not completely see-through due to the patterning and the whole thong feels soft to the touch.   

THE FRONT:

The main front panel runs down, over the gusset to the back gusset seam.  This sheer blue mesh is embroidered with purple leaves and entwined tendrils and the outline of small flowers in antique gold or khaki thread.  A fine khaki satin ribbon bow is sewn to the top centre front.   To either side of the diagonal seams of the front panel is another band of the sheer blue embroidered mesh with large lotus flowers and some embroidered small flowers, some with open work embroidery, facing outwards so that the outer edges leave pretty shapes against the skin of the leg sides and hips.  These side panels are narrow at the bottom, wide in the middle and then they reduce in width again as they reach the side seams.  

THE BACK:

From the side seams the back panel of blue mesh tapers down to the centre to form the thong stem and this continues down to the back gusset seam.  This is just blue mesh with occasional khaki embroidered outline of flowers.  A similar fine khaki satin ribbon bow is sewn to the top of the centre back.   

The waistband at the back and front has the blue mesh turned in and this is edged inside with blue flat elastic with a  khaki looped trim which stands proud, outside the fabric.  These layers are secured with large blue zig-zag stitching.  The bottom of the back, the thong stem and around the gusset is all lined with flat blue elastic with a wavy trim with a satin sheen, this trim also shows outside the folded-in mesh and this is also sewn together with large blue zig-zag stitching.    The gusset is lined with blue Jersey Cotton.

The exact material of the thong is made of 60%Polyamide, 25%Polyester, 14%Cotton,1%Elasthane.   It is a mysterious thong, sheer yet warm, sexy to touch and yet not totally transparent.  The retail price was £32.00.   New and unused.  This may be machine or hand washed at 40 degrees, no ironing, no bleach, line dry.   I have the matching sheer French full coverage bra which is listed separately.
