Ilia Beliaev was born in 1954 in St. Petersburg (Leningrad). Trained as an artist at the Leningrad Art School and the Leningrad Academy of Fine Arts, he worked in St. Petersburg as an artist and writer until he emigrated to the West. His novel, The Beginning (1978), was published in the Leningrad samizdat magazine, The Clock. In 1979 Ilia met Tausha who became his spiritual teacher and taught him the art of energy healing. From 1980 until the present Ilia Beliaev has practiced what he learned with a private clientele in Russia, Germany, Israel, the USA, and Canada.
