Here for sale is a beautiful matching set of early 19th century matching candle snuffer and tray. Nice tin tray with an early cast steel candle snuffer. The tray is painted black with a wonderful all over star or asterisk shaped pattern painted in gold gilt and has some red added as well. The tray measures 9 1/2 inches long, and I feel is all original. The snuffers are all complete with three feet and a working spring mechanism. The snuffer measures 7 inches long. Both pieces were purchased together, and are in good condition, with the tray having expected light surface wear from age and use.
