Very nice BOSTON, MASS. 1860s ~ Civil War Era CDV of a man in uniform, with a goatee and chin beard. Uniform is either military or occupational of some kind. This item has ink hand canceled Green Civil War Revenue Stamp on back, stamp sits on top of a pencil name inscription identification. I will leave that up to the new owner if they'd like to gently steam the edge of the stamp up and get his identification. The photographer was WHIPPLE at 297 Washington Street, Boston. 

Measures: 2 7/16in x 3 7/8 ~ no front border ~ simple back imprint ~ This item has been trimmed down to fit an album in the period taken.
