Past Forgetting, Memoirs of the Hammer Years, published by Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1988, first edition. Octavo. 112 pp. The jacket is unclipped. The book and jacket are in near-fine condition. Even the usual tanning to the page margins is very light. Signed to the title page with Cushing's usual elaborate signature without dedication.

With the book comes a charming, one-page letter on personalised stationery. The printed part states that Cushing has received so much correspondence after the publication of his autobiography ( see my other Cushing listing) and TV appearances and the 'Helen Cushing' Rose (a variety of the flower named for his late wife) that he has to use this printed format. He has, however, signed the letter and added in his hand So glad you enjoyed the companion volume. Thank you! The 'companion volume' refers to the book, which covers his career with Hammer, which was barely covered in his previous autobiography. The letter is in Vg condition with a couple of envelope folds.
