A retirement tribute signed by friends (in plate) including over 40 nicely penned letters (printed, not inscribed) as well as a brief biography and introduction to one of LA's most important county supervisors (an important and powerful office with the structure of Los Angeles government).  Supervisor John Anson Ford is responsible for many of the most important cultural revitalizations in the city, including restoration of the Hollywood Bowl complex, acquisition of the Descanso Gardens, the Hancock Park restoration, and many other cultural landmarks throughout the city.   Beautifully printed on laid paper with an untrimmed tail edge, and bound in folio in a solid grey buckram.
