CONDITION NOTES: GOOD.  Japan vellum to spine has A LARGE TEAR (see photos).   Solid page and cover attachment. Restoration somewhat artless: back fly page sprung, back hinge holding but opening despite new tape applied, spine cover not proper cinched thus torn.  Restorer used wrong "vellum", not hide, but Japan vellum, which is a type of paper.  Despite the flaws the book is essentially solid and very attractive on the shelf.
BINDING: Period vellum covers with modern binding in japanese vellum (i.e. not animal vellum, but similar texture).
