NOTES: Dark grey limp card leaves with sepia plates tipped in. Paul Elder fled from San Francisco due to quake - pretty traumatic. They say that the mind always looks for patterns and purpose even after essentially meaningless tragedies. Such would be a good description of the current work. It's an attempt to frame scenes of destruction and loss in a grand, noble tradition of Classic Artistry. The publisher fled to New York having been burned out entirely by the Great FIre.
