Description
Antique cylinder music box mechanism probabaly by Paillard and playing 8 tunes with a Scottish theme - I identified Blue Bells of Scotland. Offered for parts or to restore as pictured.
The mechanism has been unused for some time but after some oil and coaxing I got it to run and produce a tune.
Dimensions:
Weighs 6.5kg before wrapping - that's heavy. The bedplate is 17.25" (43.5cm) wide and 5" (13cm) deep. The cylinder is 13" long, the comb fractionally shorter with 93 teeth or notes all complete excepet for the tip of the last note on the right.
