It's time for me to clear out some of my radios that have issues but are just too nice to use as parts donors.  Here we have an original 1969 Ford Mustang/Shelby/Cougar AM car radio.  Sorry, but I do not have a knob set for this unit.  Part number for this radio begins with C9ZA and it was made by Philco.  Remnants of the Philco inspection sticker are still attached to the top.  This radio is the same as the 1970 model except for the part number.  The 1968 model utilizes somewhat shorter volume and tuning shafts.  Radio has been bench tested and does not work properly.  It will need electrical service/repair.  Pushbuttons work very smoothly and set stations properly.  All pushbuttons have been cleaned/polished and the mechanism lubricated.  Manual tuning works fine up and down the scale.  Wiring connectors have been cut off.  The blue wire is for the dial light, the yellow wire is radio power, and the 2 black wires are for the speaker.  Dial indicator is bright in color and the dial light is functional.  The plastic dial lens is in very nice condition.  The face has been lightly polished and is very clear.  The silver strip above the pushbuttons has been repainted.  Dial numbering is still very bright.  The radio casing is clean with no rust issues.  Once repaired, this will make for a nice looking, correct unit for your early Mustang/Shelby/Cougar restoration project.  It could also be used as a very nice dash filler or have it converted to an AM/FM unit.  I will have, or currently have, other Mustang/Falcon/misc. radios in varying condition for sale.  I have sold many radios over the years through eBay and try to describe them as accurately as possible.  I take pride in my work and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.  I believe my feedback is a good reflection of these efforts.  Please add $15.95 for domestic shipping (insurance will be included). International bidders welcome.  Sorry, but I am unable to ship to Germany at this time.  Please contact me for with any questions you may have.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
