FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I buy this as a pair?
-Yes, for a pair please order quantity as 2 at checkout/
These measurements available are not suitable for me, can the tap be made any longer?
-This tap cannot be made any longer as the 15mm copper pipework would not be strong enough. However, we have another style of tap which has 22mm copper pipework meaning it can be made up to 30cm projection. See our custom size listing, title ending (T51) in 'sellers other listings.
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the 'sellers other listings' where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size is this tap?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework for this tap?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.
Can this tap be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, this tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. This is designed to fit into a wall. This is fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided. This is not fitted using a back nut.
Is this tap suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks as it has a water inlet pipe which is a 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.
Can this be fitted in a shepherds hut?
-Yes this can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use this as an outdoor tap?
-Yes, this tap is suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect this to my water inlet?
- All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, these do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit this to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
Can this tap be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted tap?
- Probably not. This tap is made to be fitted from the front on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. This is designed and supplied as a complete unit already soldered together, as such it can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the tap is to be fitted. This unit does not come apart and it cannot be fitted to copper pipe protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipe must be connected behind the wall. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.
