Transcription:"Dear Mr Zumsteeg. Have just received your postcard, and write for this to say that a few hours after receipt (?) of your move(?) of music last Tuesday I sent off the packet to your address in Stuttgart as it was posted at the Hauptpost it ought to have reached you latest on thuesday morning. I also wrote you a card explaining the error. Please write & say if you have received the music & also have my Cherubini sent off as soon as possible. With reagards sincerely yours Louis Rée. PS Did you Mde. Keeler play in the Liederhalle that it was successful?"

Louis (Luis) Rée (born 15. October 1861 at Edinburgh; † 28 February 1939 in Vienna) was a pianist, composer and professor for piano and composition in Vienna.
Life: Louis Rée, son of a manufacturer, studied piano and theory at the conservatories in Geneva (1879/80) and Stuttgart (until 1884). In 1885 he went to Vienna to take lessons from Theodor Leschetizky (piano) and Robert fuchs (composition). In 1888 the pianist Susanne Pilz, whom he married in 1889, took part in one of his concerts in Vienna.
Together with his wife he undertook as a piano duo until approx. 1917 very successful concert tours through the cities of Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin, Prague and Dresden, during which his own compositions were performed in addition to a broad repertoire. In 1914 Louis Rée became a piano and composition teacher at the New Vienna Conservatory, where his wife also gave piano and singing lessons.
