This little oval box has an embossed picture of a lady on the lid. It measures approximately 4.5 cm long, 3.5cm wide and 1.5cm deep. The mark on the base consists of a W with a small A and E above it, with the word "England below. There is a swirling tulip pattern round the edge.
I suspect that the metal is either pewter or Britannia - it polishes to a soft shine and feels heavy for its size.
