Duty Boards

for Swanage Depot

 3rd September 2001

I’m in the process of thinning out my collection of various timetables, leaflets and other transport ephemera.

This is an original set of Swanage Depot driver's duty boards for Monday to Friday Winter School Day duties commencing 3rd September 2001. These duties would have operated over the School Terms until the Summer duties in May 2002. Also Saturdays throughout the same period. The Sunday ones would be revised after a couple of weeks with the withdrawal of 720 duty.

Monday to Friday 001 D/D duty was part of 203 minibus duty, but run with a D/D and the driver paid accordingly at D/D rate for that part only. D/D rate was ONLY paid between 1458 and 1602, so the 10 minutes sign off was paid at minibus rate!!!!!!

As can be seen they are all in excellent condition.

These are all original unlaminated office copies, the drivers ones would have been the same, but just laminated. 

Duties: M-F: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 108, 001, 201, 202, 203, 204, 206.

SAT: 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 501, 502, 503, 504.

SUN: 701, 702, 720, 801, 804.

These are original unlaminated duty boards for Swanage Winter duties.

There are also Photocopies of the original Rotas for both D/D and Minibus dated 2nd September 2001. Monday to Saturday would have applied to all School Day periods until new Summer duties commenced in May 2002.

The Summer Sunday 720 duty which was 'to cover' on overtime would have only operated for two weeks. The rota would then change for the Sunday part to account for the change and alterations to the other Sunday duties.

For some reason the colours for the different days of the week are the same as was used for the Ferry Emergency duties. This caused some confusion among the drivers and it was later changed back. I believe that the colour changes were meant to differentiate between different depots!
