This can be used as a cot (with the side on), as a toddler bed, or (uniquely) as a large cosleeper cot thanks to a custom modification that can be slotted into existing holes.

The custom modification to allows it to be used as a co-sleeper alongside an adult bed. In this configuration, one side of the cot can be removed, and the mattress slid sideways until it's flush with the side of the cot to allow no gap between the adult and baby mattress. A second set of ocean cot beds vertical slats then slot in on the side away from the adult bed, safely filling the gap created when the baby mattress is slid towards the adult mattress. Works with an adult mattress that the top of is around 50 cm from the floor. The modification has not altered the beds themselves - it slots into existing holes.
