This is a Swan De Luxe Teasmade model 860 that works well and I bought for my mother in law but she found it to much to remember to fill it up the night before. It makes two mugs of tea and probably makes coffee as well but tea is best for the morning.

My wife and I had one 50 years ago and it was invaluable for early morning shifts but you need to be organised and get the machine ready the night before else you get no tea!

The system works by boiling a kettle which has a tight sealed lid and so when the steam arrives it pushes all the water into the teapot and as the weight of the kettle reduces then a pressure switch turns off the power and turns on the light and buzzer. You need to be careful not to overtighten the kettle lid because after the boil it can be very difficult to undo - another problem mother in law had.

This has had little use and all parts are very clean and unchipped.
