Our sweet potato slips are generally ready to ship around Mid-May. However, if you live in an area that needs a later ship date, just let us know when you would like them shipped when you place your order. We're happy to ship when it's best for you.
These are very hardy and very tough little cuttings. Upon arrival, the slips will likely be a little wilted and may have some yellowing or other stress related characteristics, BUT these slips will root very quickly once placed in moist soil or a glass of water.
** ALSO PLEASE NOTE that our slips DO NOT HAVE ROOTS. We cut our slips well above the ground and mother potato to help prevent diseases such as scurf. The slips you receive from us are EXACTLY what commercial sweet potato growers plant. These slips will bounce back and root very quickly once placed in moist soil or a glass of water.
This is a highly productive variety producing very sweet, relatively fiberless orange flesh that you can store for many months. We will send basic growing instructions with the slips, and I am always availabe for specific growing questions. If you want large orders, I will give you a discounted price.
