Pre 1776 American revolutionary piece when George III lost the colonies 

Bears aBishops mitre crest over joining hands picture engraving

Measurements: 5.25 inches high, the cup has a diameter of almost 5 inches , it measures 8.75 inches from handle to handle 

Weight: 264 grams

Hallmarks:

assay office:Leopard Crowned head for London

date letter: Q for 1771

makers mark: JS very clear I have found other examples on similar cups but the makers is unidentified by the silver world

Condition: very good condition no dents handles are strong the silver metal gauge 

This is a very nice unusual  item.
