Color is richer/deeper/more gold than the photos show. Possibly Moroccan/African, based on the leather and the gold and red medallions, but I don’t know for sure.

The leather drawstring is broken in 2 places (held only by thread) and should be replaced. Thin soft leather , almost paper thin but still strong - pig? Goat?

Stitching intact, EXCEPT for the seam that divides 2 of the 6 exterior pockets that circle the base (last photo). 12” tall on an 8”-diameter round leather base.

The 6 pockets make me think that this was originally made as a seed or herb-foraging bag? Please let me know if you know!
