About the condition:
This is an open box customer return which is in very good condition. The protective shipping film is missing from the top of the unit, and there is some light wear on the black plastic. Unsure if the scuffing is from use or from being shipped back without the protective film on it, but the unit is clean and works fine.
About the unit:
- Note this is an older unit and does not have a UV lamp or adjustable fan speed.
- There are 3 buttons - Power on/off, Time, and Delay.
- There is a holder in the lid for an aromatherapy disc/pad, but no disc is included.
- Note that the delay button controls when the unit turns on the heat and fan, not when it finishes. (For example, if you want your towels to heat for 30 minutes and be ready in 3 hours, set the delay for 2:30.)
- The circulating fan is not loud, but it isn't silent either. Ever hear the cooling fan on a laptop kick in at full speed? It's something like that.
- Note that the circulating fan will continue to run for about 5 minutes after the unit shuts off. This serves two purposes: 1. It continues to remove heat from the heating element as the element cools off after use (ever notice your furnace keeps running for a little while even after the thermostat hits the right number? Same idea.) and 2. It gives you a little extra time when there's still some warm air moving around the compartment which in turn keeps the towels from starting to cool off immediately when the timer is finished. I timed the extra run time once, which was after testing the unit for about 5-10 minutes. I suppose it might run longer after a longer run time.
