Souvenir d'Afghanistan: Kaboul, Kandahar, Galalabed, Laghmann, Pagman (cover title, which is also in Dari)

This is a incredibly rare softback from the early 1920s containing 46 colour collotype plates from photographs, captioned in the upper portion of the image in French and Dari. 

A very scarce pictorial souvenir of Afghanistan during the reign of Habibullah, with views of the many fine buildings and palaces built for the royal family; the various ministries; parks; summer houses in Paghman; winter residences in Jelalabad; hunting scenes with the amir; etc.

Measures 5¾x8½ inches - 149 x 219mm - in original softback wrappers. 

Condition: Just a little wear (see scan of first page: staples rusted; some edge marks; also edge of front cover slightly faded), but overall very good for its age.
