FIJI COLONIAL ORDINANCES w/ Gazette 1894 to 1905 2 vol Official Library Copies

TITLE  #1 : Fji Ordinances. Supplements to the Royal Gazette - 1894 to 1905
AUTHOR: [Colonial Office Library]
PUBLISHER: Inserted documents published bySuva, Fiji: Edward John March, Government Printer
DATE: c. 1911
DESCRIPTION: 33cm. 122 Gazette Supplements chronologically arranged in annual sections, tabbed in vellum, and provided with a manuscript contents page. Judging by the various inscriptions as well as the manuscript index, two clerks maintained the file over the period, and the binding was completed somewhat later than the last document in the volume. Hand of the second clerk appears to belong to the same person who annotated the other volume in this lot.
CONDITION NOTES: VERY GOOD. Aside from expected annotations and official stamps, no marks. Covers soiled from use and morocco label at foot of spine chipped. Corners bumped. A bit of foxing to last leaf verso suggests that end papers may have been renewed.
BINDING: Full brown buckram with morocco spine labels in the legal style. Blind tooled "COLONIAL OFFICE" on front cover.
