How accurate is the listing?
I try to be honest and detailed with my descriptions, as, being collectables, the condition of even the packaging can be very important. Where listings have any 'actual item' photos, then please use these as references to the condition – but note that the camera may not show things as they look in person (some flaws may be magnified, some are actually just dust or reflections, and some can't be captured on camera). Also, I am only human, and may occasionally make mistakes in a listing. If you feel anything seems incorrect – especially between the description and any 'actual item' photos – then please contact me for clarification before purchasing.
Will you combine postage?
I find it is easier to include P&P in the item price, so automatic combined postage discounts are not possible. However, if you order more than one item at the same time, and I can combine shipping, then I will pass any savings onto you (in the form of a partial refund). (Note: multi-buy promotions already have this discount included.) If you need to know the amount of any potential postage discounts before purchasing, then please contact me.
Can I collect the item?
Collection is an option. I find it is easier to include P&P in the item price, but if you can collect, then I will pass any savings onto you (in the form of a partial refund). If you wish to pay cash on collection, this is not an option on the listing, so you will need to contact me (note that in this instance, the listing will remain active until you have let me know you are on your way to buy).
How long do you take to send the item?
Items are usually dispatched within 1 working day. It would be rare if I didn't dispatch within 2 working days. So if it has been longer than that, and your item isn't marked as dispatched, then please contact me.
Note that the above is typical, but not a guarantee. I do this in my spare time, not as a job. So unexpected life events will take priority. If a more guaranteed delivery time is required for an item, you should use the priority postage option, noted below.
Which delivery service do you use?
Most items will be sent 2nd class via Royal Mail for free (unless the listing states otherwise), to UK mainland. You then have the option to upgrade to a 1st class service for £1.50 (see "What is priority postage?" below for details). I will occasionally use other couriers, for various reasons, at my discretion.
Note that items purchased at the same time may or may not be shipped together, depending on various factors.
What is priority postage?
The "Royal Mail 1st Class" postage option in eBay refers to a priority postage service I offer. This not only includes the postage upgrade cost, but also fast dispatch. With priority postage your item will be posted within 1 working day, (if ordered by 3.30 pm, probably the same day), guaranteed – or I will refund you the postage upgrade fee, and still send your item 1st class.
Are the sizes shown in the photo accurate?
Please use any measurement device shown as a guide only. Due to various factors (e.g. the angle of the camera or the item itself, the size of any stand, etc.), it is not recommended to rely on the measurements for an exact value. If you do need to know the exact measurements of an item – e.g. for fitting in a display case – then please contact me before buying.
Will you ship outside the UK?
Except for rare instances, I will only post to the UK. This is due the increased complications and costs (sometimes vast) when posting elsewhere. If you need an item shipped outside the UK, then you must contact me to get my agreement before you purchase.
Will you accept offers?
Yes, I'm open to reasonable offers. Note that depending on various factors, I may not get around to responding to an offer before it expires. So, don't take an unresponded offer as a definite rejection. Except if your offer is less than 75% of the asking price – I regard more than a 25% discount to be an unreasonable ask, and probably won't waste my time responding.
Why is your packaging weird?
I try and reuse packaging that would otherwise be binned or recycled, rather that ordering new packaging materials (which ultimately just do the same job). Don't worry, I won't reuse any dirty packaging. This also helps keep my prices down slightly. Unless you sell online yourself, you may not realise that packaging materials can be relatively expensive (unless you can buy in bulk). Just a small parcel box can easily cost over £1 each!
Where did the item come from originally?
A lot of my collectable items are from loot boxes: ZBox (Zavvi / THG), Loot Crate (or Loot Crate DX), My Geek Box (THG), Geek Gear, Super Loot, Wootbox, Horror Block, etc. Quite a few exclusive and limited edition items were purchased direct from the retailer – typically Zavvi, but sometimes Fanattik, QMx Online, Forbidden Planet, etc. Some were traded, and some were purchased in mixed lots (or in a bundle with other items). I think most have sold out, and are no longer available to purchase from the original retailer / loot box. In particular, they were often produced in limited quality / were exclusive items, not available anywhere else. Some items are even quite rare and hard to find (H2F) – typically I will note when this is the case.
