An antique 18ct gold ring with interesting multi diamond set head in a daisy cluster. The band is plain and nicely curved and leads to the head which has open work design from the prong setting. There is a central diamond which is surrounded by six further diamonds. The diamonds are all in the old cut style as typical for this period. Looking top down it has the effect of a flower head which sparkles as the diamonds move in the light. Lovely clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1918, so this ring was produced during the final year of WWI. Inside the band is also the maker's mark for SB & S Ld
