***I travel often, I have a 5 business day shipping handling time between purchase and shipping. Please keep in mind when purchasing

Shipping: I know shipping has gotten pricey. I can't help that. I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. It will add more to the shipping but that is the reality now. Thanks.

A beautiful large early Loet Vanderveen (1921-2015) signed art pottery whale sculpture. We believe this is circa 1960s / 1970s and predates the artists bronze sculpture.

All original and the glaze is very much in the style of Japanese master potter, Shoji Hamada with a slight hammer effect on the clay if you look closely.

Signed "Loet" on bottom as shown and measures approx. 18" long from tip of top tail fin to end of its head. It is about 8.25" tall again to tip of top tail fin. Weighs 5 lbs 7 oz before packing.

No damages, chips, cracks or repairs. Fine piece ready to display in your home or office.

Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when bidding.
