This beautiful vintage pair of brass grave rubbings features a medieval English lady and gentleman, both of unknown identity. It is possible the woman is a rubbing taken from Elizabeth, wife of Henry VII. London c1880, but I can’t say for certain. The gentleman remains unidentified. The rubbings are on black paper and are both medium-sized, measuring 16-18 inches in height (total) and 12-14” in width. The brass rubbings are NOT framed but ready to be framed and hung on display, perfect for any medieval art lover or history enthusiast.

The intricate details of the brass rubbing showcase the medieval culture and religious themes of the time. Although the artist of these rubbings is unknown, they are an original production technique and not a licensed reproduction. Whether you are a collector or simply appreciate the beauty of the past, these brass rubbings are a unique addition to your collection.
