Vintage Rivarossi 1051 HO Gauge C16 Class 0-4-0 Switcher Locomotive For Restoration.

This is a vintage unliveried Rivarossi C-16 US Outline 0-4-0 Shifter or Switcher Tank Locomotive. I can’t find an exploded diagram for it, so it’s presented here for restoration and reassembly.

The chassis rolls well, the motor spins up nicely, and I can’t see anything wrong with it apart from a disconnected motor live lead. The fairly complex valve gear all appears good. There are a few loose parts which should hopefully enable it to be rebuilt, but I’m not 100% sure everything’s there. I can’t see any wiring for the headlight bulb for instance. The plastic body is in good condition.

So a bit of a jigsaw puzzle. If you have experience with this loco, or even better a service sheet, it should hopefully be a doddle. Once built up, it ‘feels’ like it should be a good runner. Sold for spares, repairs or restoration. Please study photos for full contents and description.
