An Antique Parliamentary Steel Strong box from the House of Commons London.
Heavy and well made dating from the early 20th Century.
The box has a heavy steel construction with a hinged lid.
The lid has original gold painted lettering.
"SELECT COMMITTEE on P & P.M ACTS"
Finish is original painted black with a non original but old grab handle to the top and two fold down original handles to the sides.
Originally the box would have had a lock and restricting chains to the lid.
Very Heavy and solid. Salvaged many decades ago and now an unusual and rare piece of household storage - Could be used as a low coffee table.

Lots of marks and signs of age and use.
Very solid and well made.
Scratches, dinks and marks from use and age.
Patchy on the inside lid the original lock Mech would have been.
Marks all over from use but finish is original and unique.
