This stunning tea bowl and saucer set features a unique design of a fox stalking treed chickens, printed and enameled on beautiful pearlware. The set originates from the United Kingdom and is believed to be from the Georgian era, dating back to circa 1800. Its gorgeous multi-color scheme, in pink, green, red, yellow, brown and black,  and originality make it a highly desirable piece for any antique collector of early pearlware. The saucer measures approximately 4-3/4" in diameter and the tea bowl measures approximately 2-7/8" in diameter.  They are in beautiful estate condition with only very light signs of age appropriate wear with the interior foot rim of the saucer having a tiny flake and a glaze rub on the interior rim stripe.  The pooled blue pearlware glaze shows in areas, appropriate to the period of production.  The maker of the set is unknown, adding an air of mystery and intrigue to its history. Ideal for display or use, this tea bowl and saucer set is a true treasure of the past.
