Title Veryrare Packard and Ord commemorative tile for the Coronation of Edward VIIIin1936

A tileproduced for the coronation of Edward the eighth in 1936, an event that did nothappen due to his love of Wallace Simpson resulting in his abdication. Ibelieve that few of these tiles were produced or that those that were wouldhave been destroyed. The tile was probably designed by Sylvia Packard and hasbeen hand painted including the Tudor Rose onto a Pilkington’s blank. I havetwo others commemorative tiles for George V and George VI also currently onebay. Chris Blanchett values this tile in his book, due to the rarity atbetween £100-£200
