This Triumph 500cc Speed Twin was one of a few that were manufactured in 1945 after the war finished, I know of only one other in the world. A black one that’s in the States. Triumph struggled to obtain their trademark red paint immediately after the war, this may be the only Amaranth Red Speed Twin of that first year in existence. The condition of the bike is very good, not mint, but very, very good. After 6 years in storage some of the screw heads are showing rust as is the horn push. Paintwork and chrome I’d put at above 9 out of 10.
It started second kick after adding fresh fuel and first kick every time afterwards. There’s very good oil return to the tank. It will need a new battery. V5 in my name.
