This daguerreotype features a light eyed thick bearded gentleman wearing a polka dot patterned tie. His face was tinted. 

The 1/6 plate is not sealed and it measures about 2.75 x 3.25 inches. The image is not housed in a case. Most of the dust specks are on the glass and not the plate itself. There is a minor ping in the background to the left of his beard that can only be seen when held at certain non viewing angles.
