Thrifting find. Badgley Mischka strapless long formal or prom dress, marked size 6, which seems accurate as it was a bit roomy on my size 3 to 4 model. I believe this dress is from the late 1990s to early 2000s. I thought it had sort of a goth vibe to it. The style is definitely different and eye-catching. The plum/maroon color is tricky to describe; there is an almost black-red sheen to it when the light hits a certain way. It looks more deep plum-red outdoors and more maroon red indoors. The entire dress is deeply horizontally ruched, with a thick, full ruffle that goes up the sides and across the bust. Fully lined in a maroon satiny acetate. Boned bodice. Back zip with hook close, and YKK metal zipper works as it should. Model is 5'6" tall and 125 pounds and the dress was a little too long on her, barefoot. There are a few issues: At the bottom hem, there's pilling on the inside and the hem is loose in a few places as shown. It will need to be re-attached in those areas. Also, there are light-color deodorant stains in the underarm area as shown in the last two pictures. Prom season is here, so I wanted to get the dress out to as soon as possible so you might have time to get it cleaned and repaired. Badgley Mischka dresses are pricey but this one is priced with the imperfections in mind.
