I've decided to part with my vintage Western Electric 600a microphone. This mic is in excellent cosmetic condition overall. The mic is housed in an original Western Electric 1101B1 bronze finished enclosure and desk stand with what appears to be the original wiring. The wiring is still bundled with the type of cord that I associate with factory wire bundling inside tube consoles. I honestly don't know if this ever saw any use or somehow has been living on shelves and inside cabinets for going on 100 years. These microphones from the 1930's rarely survive this long in such nice original condition.

I'm not able to test the mic properly as I don't have a dedicated carbon mic preamp/psu. It is being sold as is because I can't guarantee how well it will work with the correct preamp.

The last image is an cutsheet from a 1933 Bell Labs manual/catalog that describes the 600A.

The mic will be packed very carefully and shipped insured. Let me know if you have any questions and check out my other vintage pro audio listings.
