Offered is a Mid Century era Lefton pitcher and wash basin shaped, hand painted wall pocket planter in their Americana Rose pattern. It is decorated in a pink and green rose motif in shallow relief on a white ceramic ground. Both pitcher and basin have an opening for plants. It is in very good to excellent vintage condition. There are 2 small glaze chips and one small chip on handle protuberance-see photos. No other chips, cracks or repairs found. Marked #951, on the bottom with remnants of original label. First produced by Lefton in 1955. Although long since discontinued, Americana Rose remains a popular pattern today.
