Stunning Silver Christening Cup - Portuguese - J Rosa & Co

A pretty antique silver christening cup, made in Oporto in Portugal

with the makers mark J and the boar 833 silver mark.

The Boars Head and 11 means 1887 - 1937

Very nice quality with beautiful repousse decoration of

mainly ivy, good shaped handle, and not too big.

It’s in good condition with a couple of very small dings

at the bottom, the height is 56mm and overall

width is 69mm, and weighs 40.1gms.

Marked in the decoration WEC and 2 - 24

Plenty of room to add another name

and keep the history going

In a lovely velvet pouch to make a special gift
