Welcome to the sale of Fifi, our long-term BMC tipper truck, which we have owned and used for over 20 years.

We have taken it to vintage rallies and shows, hauled logs, soil, gravel and other stuff with it during our ownership without any major dramas.

Local Launceston truck, supplied by Prouts Garage in the town. Mileage is showing at 44762 which we believe is correct. It has done around 3000 miles in the 20-odd years we have looked after it.

Never been 'restored', but has had bits and pieces done as and when necessary, so very much sold as a 'working vehicle' rather than a 'show-pony'.

Good solid chassis which has never been welded.

Cab is sound and waterproof, although its always been dry-stored while in our tenure.

2200cc 4 cylinder diesel engine which runs okay, but does smoke a bit - probably due to its lack of use.

Good clutch, gearbox and brakes.

Tyres are okay for tread, but have age-cracking in the walls, so would need replacing if you intend to actually use it much. Spare wheel included.

All the electrics work.

Hydraulic tipper with 2-stage ram, which works fine with no leaks.

Drop side body with good wooden floor.

3500kg gross according to the documents.

15ft long overall; bed is 10ft 6in x 6ft approx.

Needs a new battery, as the current one is not quite up to the job, but otherwise she is ready to go.

Reluctantly offered for sale, but we realised its hardly moved in the last few years so it really deserves to go to someone who can put it to use and look after it for the future.

Tax and MOT exempt of course.
