The simple expedient of

spraying insecticide on virtually every wall was a key factor several years ago

in a largely successful drive to eradicate malaria in Panama and the Canal

Zone. Today, however, new problems have sprung up and malaria once again

threatens the tropics. Doctor Martin Young, who does malaria research in the
