For 1. In January 1968, the Printing Combine Berlin emerged from the graphic workshops and other companies, which carried out orders from the Berlin administration, from the parties and mass organizations, from theaters, cinemas and the state art trade. Volker Pfüller (* 7. June 1939 in Leipzig; † 23. October 2020 in Rudolstadt was a German graphic artist, set designer and university professor.


 

The quite critical piece was released on the 25th. September 1969 at the Volksbühne Berlin (I didn't research how many performances there were in total; the poster at the bottom left is dated 1969).

Susanne Duellmann is the only actress who does not have a signature; also not by Gerhard Winterlich and Heiner Müller.

 

It was already released in 1968 (with other actors in a different adaptation). Workers' Theater of the Petrochemical Combine Schwedt (a recording of which was shown on GDR television). The author Gerhard Winterlich was the director of this theater. Benno Besson, the artistic director of the Volksbühne, was so enthusiastic that he commissioned Heiner Müller to create a new version for his ensemble. In 1969 he opened his first season at the Volksbühne.

Attached are three program notes/leaflets for the piece; one dated by hand 17. October 1969. This was certainly the day the autographs on the poster were signed.

Condition: Poster lengthways and folded crosswise; browned, slightly stained, with small corner creases. The program books are slightly stained. Please also note the pictures at the end of the item description!
