Sterling by MusicMan SB14 Gloss Black Electric Bass
Here for sale we have a Sterling by MusicMan SB14 in Gloss Black finish. Built in Indonesia, this bass features a Basswood body, Gloss finished 5 bolt Maple neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured consist of a top loading fixed bridge and a set of open gear tuning machines. This bass is fitted with a single Music Man Humbucker, these are wired to a 3-band Active Preamp selector, Volume, Treble, Mid and Bass control.
The Maple neck profile feels slim and consistent, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 9.5” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register.
The single Music Man Humbucker produces a modern voicing, with a thumping low end that is complemented by driving mids and a smooth top end that helps put your playing stand front and centre in the mix. The 3-band Active Preamp provides that extra push that's needed for live settings or to drive the amplifier when you need that bit extra, whilst helping remove unwanted bass and treble when it's not needed, providing a great instrument for tonal sculpting. The simplistic nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic for ease of tonal sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. Scratching is present to the front face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. A more noticeable scratch is present to the front face around the D string machine head. Chipping to the finish is present to the rear face, treble side towards the top. Light scuffing is present to the top side edge.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light denting is present to the fingerboard and rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the rear of the neck behind the 3rd fret. This can lightly be felt under the finger in playing position.
Body: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching and denting is present to all surfaces of the body, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the rear face in the centre.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

If you just are not getting along with your new gear you are welcome to return it within 30 days for a full refund. We will ask you to pay the return shipping cost and will need to receive your order back in the condition we sent it. Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
