This is a truly exceptional OBC 2 retrofit kit with all the components in mint or near mint condition, a true unicorn these days...

This system should fit the following models:

3.16i, 318i, 318is, 320i, 320is, 323i, 325i, 325is, M3, 324d, 324td, 3.25ix, etc

This system features an under-the-dashboard main harness for Left Hand Drive (LHD) cars, if you need a configuration for Right Hand Drive (RHD) car, please let me know, I can reconfigure this kit for you (main harness and OBC2 main unit may need to be changed)

You may have a very well kept E30 in your garage or you may have even gone through all the trouble to restore one recently... You know the story... And you already know that the more you do for your E30, the better it gets, and there seems to be no end to this, right?

How about a full scale on board computer system that will make your bimmer literally come alive electronically???

With a 13-button OBC installed on your BMW E30 you can do all of the following:

1. Check the ambient temperature outside, through a digital read out

2. Check the current time and/or date, through a digital read out

3. Let your bimmer warn you with a chime/gong sound when the temperature falls below freezing temperatures

(hence warning you about the potential icy roads ahead! now, how thoughtful of your bimmer is that?)

4. Set a speed limit on your bimmer so that your bimmer can warn you with a chime/gong sound every time the set speed limit is reached (handy for not getting a speeding ticket!)

5. Get digital read outs of your speed, fuel consumption levels, potential range with the fuel in your car, etc.

6. Cycle through your OBC functions using your new OBC-enabled signal stalk (included in this sale)

7. When the need be, use the OBC code function to immobilise your bimmer during start up, of course unless the correct code is entered, and have the dedicated OBC horn alert you (and the entire neighbourhood) when such a failed attempt is made! 

(this feature will not only impress your mates but it is very handy after all!)

8. How about an on board timer for measuring your 0-60 miles/h or 0-100 km/h attempts, or perhaps the time it takes from your home to your work or in-laws?

9. Get a digital read out of the actual amount of fuel left in your fuel tank?

Yes, your bimmer could do all of this back in the 80's... And yes, you could have YOUR bimmer do all of this with the OBC2 retrofit kit advertised here... You must be tired of staring at that classic E30 analog clock or the simple digital clock that does none of these, right? Don't you want your bimmer's interior look a bit more like the Kitt the Supercar from the 80's???

All the components of the retrofit kit on sale here are OEM, except for the gong holder (no longer available / NLA), which is a finished (sanded/painted), 3-D reproduction instead. The non-OEM gong holder will do the job, but it should be carefully handled so as to avoid damage, this part is provided more like a gift to compete the retrofit set.

The main unit (13 Button OBC / OBC2) features the following:

1. A new LCD screen, which has been tested to work perfectly

2. OBC2 coding plug '4 6 Typ' (for BMW E30 3.25i) in its intact case

> this is the OBC2 coding plug that came with the main unit & which has been tested to work with the retrofit kit

>> this main OBC2 unit configuration will work with ANY BMW E30, but for more accurate readings you will need an OBC2 coding plug specific for your car (e.g. M20B25 engine, 62 l fuel tank, etc.)

>>> all other OEM OBC2 coding plugs SHOULD work on this system, if you tell me in advance, I can check whether I have a spare coding plug specific for your car, and if I do, I will provide it as an extra at no additional cost! Even if I don't have one specific for your car, you should be able to easily find one at eBay.

>>>> if you have a custom BMW E30 (e.g. with M52B28 swap, etc.), you can still order a custom OBC2 coding plug from a third party at your own cost, I will be more than happy to refer you to the right contact!

3. A LED/resistor upgraded light bar in its intact OEM white light bar housing

4. All buttons in very nice

5. All four corner screw holders/tabs in place for mid console installation (the fifth middle bottom tab is also present but it is not needed for installation on E30s)

More specifically, the retrofit kit on sale includes the following:

1. Main OBC2 Unit as described above

(with a coding plug, LED-upgraded light bar & OEM white light bar housing, and a new LCD screen)

2. Main (under the dash) OBC2 harness (LHD)

3. Secondary (under the hood) OBC2 harness with the temperature sensor attached

4. OBC2 gong & holder

(gong holder is non-OEM, 3-D reproduction that has been sanded/painted, this is provided as a gift to complete the system)

5. OBC2 alarm relay

6. OBC2 alarm horn

(this is a full scale, 335 Hz car horn / siren, you will know when somebody is trying to drive away with your car!) 

7. Signal Stalk with the OBC2 functionality

Apart from the options regarding the coding plug, the retrofit kit is sold AS IS
