THEY ARE UNSTAINED/AGED. IF YOU WANT THEM AGED TO MATCH THE OTHER OLD BLOCKS IN YOUR OTHER UNITS THEN WE CAN STAIN THEM FOR AN ADDITIONAL $5.00 PER SET. YOU MUST LET US KNOW AT THE TIME YOU ORDER THEM.

IS OF THE TRACK INSTALLED, THE ROLLER BEARING INSTALLED THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE TRACK SLOT (WHICH HOLDS THE FRONT OF THE TRACK IN PLACE), AND THE WOOD BLOCK AT THE REAR (WHICH HOLDS THE BACK OF THE TRACK IN PLACE). THE WOOD BLOCK AT THE REAR ACTS AS A DOOR TRAVEL STOP AS WELL. ALL OF THESE PARTS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE TRACK AND DOOR RETRACTION TO WORK PROPERLY.

ITEM DESCRIPTION/DETAILS:

For those of you who are Globe Wernicke®/Macey stack barrister legal bookcase collectors, restorers, investors and fans these are EXACTLY what you need to finish detailing your bookcase stack units. This auction is for 2 (two) matching or one pair of bookcase unit track WOODEN STOP assemblies. We have shown the use of the stops in the 2nd photo with installed tracks in the unit. The bearing assemblies we sell on eBay go thru the front of the track and the wooden stops go at the very rear of the track (up against the back of the unit) to act as the door stop. The size of our stops are identical and are specific to each track or size unit (D,C,G,H and 41 inch units). We have all sizes on hand. The finish looks like new wood but can be aged with a little walnut stain if you like. Original stops are on the left in the 1st photo for comparison. They come with 4 attaching correct brads but there were several styles of those used and we include one of the more common styles. The stop is important to prevent over opening of the door when pushing back the door and causing damage to the rear panel, scissors closure assemblies and it holds the rear of the track in place for smooth operation of the door. Without the stops the doors jams as it moves backwards, as the tracks tend to expand outward towards the rear if not fixed down. The pieces are precision cut and perfectly dimensional formed. We have all door stops for all production Globe Wernicke® units. People often use the Globe Wernicke® hardware to convert their Macey units when the irreplaceable door track parts are missing on those as well. The installation just takes a few minutes and appears completely authentic when installed (see 2nd photo on the right).
