This is an antique jar container made of tri-metal copper, silver, and brass. It is encased in copper. The top is brass and silver. There are silver marks on the bottom but l’m not qualifiedIt to identify them. I believe it was created around the turn of the 19th century or earlier. The theme of this curious jar is boys with sticks seemingly chastising other boys. That’s just my interpretation. You may see it entirely differently. There are no adults or females depicted on it only boys. It is extremely detailed. The top is engraved with the owners initials but l cannot read them. It is 4”H x 4” W x 3”D. I have had it since the 1980’s in Los Angeles, West Hollywood to be exact. It was give to me by a dear friend who collected art, antique pieces and some erotica. All in all a very curious piece.

Do o NOT use a silver or any kind of metal cleaner at all. Plain damp cloth only!

I have approximately 15-18 plus cats that l inherited when l moved here. It’s also Kitten Season so l have that to deal with as well. My trapper in 2 weeks has trapped 8 cats and they are spayed, neutered and vaccinated. So buying it will really help me and my furry friends. Thank you for looking.

Please look at all the photos to seeing the damage at the top of the lid and shoulders of the piece. There is no damage on the copper casing. Because it is so ornate l put it in the Victorian Era from the 1880’s to the turn of the century 20th century. If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me immediately so we can work it out. I work hard to keep my 5.0 Star Rating. Again please contact me before buying if you are uncertain about something. Thank you very much.
