We Refer to the Brown Hats as Morgans Rangers but all units may wear them, or as personal preference. My husband has his decked out with fox tails and clay Gouda pipe in the leather outer crown belt ring. This truly is SO durable, you will need to only buy ONE FOR LIFE. Ladies can wear them too if so inclined to the look!
Hat is broad brimmed and all soft virgin steamed wool of a good Medium Chocolate Brown deep solid color with gimp fold over solid trimmed outer edges and inner soft leather one inch leather sweatband. The crown hump is quite pronounced to make a statement and stay put on your head and has a belted leather circle crown band. Speaking of that subject, do note hat is more oval underneath than round for good fitment as head is truly more oval than perfectly round. Note chalked Size 7 3/4 on inner top. This is a good size for men and also DEAR LADIES, you can go for the striking bold look of a Longhunter hat for wilderness walks to shade your pretty skin from sun. Please view all close up pictures.
Use a string to measure circumference of your head to cross check as each hat is hand steamed and made and may show tiny variation. It is my experience after a few wearings (there are side cocked models for ladies) that your warmth and sweat will make the hat to conform to your head and be forever comfortable. If its windy outside, I just give my hat a little tug so that the inner applied leather sweatband grabs my forehead, and I also end up with an authoritative appearance like: Who's cocky and in charge around here? I get lots of compliments and being pretty never hurts for those who know me when they spot my signature tilt over my face.
PLEASE NOTE FITMENT; After we put leather sweat band inside, hat becomes just a tiny smaller in circumference due to thickness of real leather placement. Using a flexi tape measure I get 23-23 1/4"" around the sweatband. Fitting should not be an issue but we explain clearly giving a Base Size and Tape Measure cross check.. Please check those numbers for your needs.
You should always keep Hat out of sun when not wearing, it maybe vacuumed if dusty, or damp wiped, the feathers are freestyle you may arrange them any way you wish, and also add more goodies like clay pipes and shilling notes, or fur tails, to really deck it out. It is heavy enough to accommodate all those items, Guys, you should see all the interesting things my husband added to his hats. .
