Thrifting find, for the creative and talented "Altered Moments" artists. Could this be of use to you? It's a Vintage Dept. 56 musical figurine called "I'm so sleepy" that was part of the Snowbabies series. Made of bisque porcelain, I believe. Stands 7.5" tall. A sleeping baby angel snuggles on a snowy crescent moon, beneath a star hanging by a tiny satin ribbon. Base has a scattering of raised stars and rotates to wind up the mechanism inside, which plays Brahm's Lullaby. It seems to work as it should. There are a few dark scuffs and specks, but no chips, cracks, or damage that I could find. I'm not a terribly creative person, but a few ideas for this piece might be a Halloween-themed baby, little devil or other impish creature (you could add little polymer clay horns to its head or give him a wee tail), or maybe it could be painted in pastels for a baby's nursery. Lol - now I want to try and paint it - but I will leave that to people who have the talent and vision. Please take a look at the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions. Shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. I pack with care and lots of bubble wrap.
