Not sure what these are called or what their intended purpose was. They were found with other items related to furniture restoration. They are made of dense wood of some kind, and they are old. Just shy of 7 inches in one direction, and 4 1/4 inches in the other direction. They have been painted a light blue color. There are small tack holes from where they were originally mounted.

There is a curve to both of them. Not sure if it's intentional, but they can probably be tacked flat.
