LEAVE ON CHARGE FOR AT LEAST 4 hrs when first plugged in, as device will arrive uncharged and the battery will show 0% charge for a first hour or so when charging, which is normal and expected behaviour.

These card readers have automatic security locks that will permanently block the device to prevent manipulation or tampering (unscrewing a back cover as an example)

This lock can be triggered by extreme conditions or forcible impacts. To avoid this, try to avoid temperatures above 40ºC or below 0ºC and don't drop your device.
